The artist
Santiago Otzin Patá was born in 1965 in San Juan Comalapa in the department Chimaltenango in Gutatemala/ Central America. He is married and the father of three sons. Currently, he lives and works in San Juan Comalapa.
Artistic background
Santiago Otzin Patá is autodidact, but he took part in numerous workshops on landscape art – including workshops with the famous artists Jorge Masariegos and Carlos De Leoin Campos.
Joint exhibitions
Santiago Otzin Patá already participated - together with other painters - in more than 45 exhibitions in several institutions and art galleries all over Guatemala, including El Attico, el Forum, Patronato de Bellas Artes, Museo Ixchel, Galería de Arte Atmósfera, Instituto Gutemalteco de Turismo, Casa de la Cultura Antigua Guatemala, Asociación de Eduacion y Cultura Alejandro Von Humboldt, Biblioteca Nacional de Guatemala, Museo Popol Vuh y Banco de Guatemala, en la Bienal de Arte Paiz, Certamen Nacional de Pintura Arturo Martínez, Tercer Certamen de Pintura Shell and Expo-subasta (art auction) for painters from San Juan Comalapa in the national palace in Guatemala.
